How a book is made

Five steps. The only one that needs you, after the photo, is saying whether the drawing looks right.

    Pick a story

    Thirty-three are already written, each illustrated in its own style. The words are the same for everyone; the main character becomes you.

    Send one photo

    A clear photo with the face visible. We use it to draw your character and for nothing else: it is never sold and never used for training.

    Approve the character

    Before you pay anything, you see the character, drawn free. One change is included. Still not right? You pay nothing.

    Usually under two minutes after you approve. The same character, the same face, on every one of the twelve pages.

Read it and keep it

Your book opens at its own private link. Read it online, download the PDF, and share the link with anyone you like. Below are the first pages of The Last One Awake, a finished book, in the same reader yours opens in.

Questions

Will the character look like the photo?

You see the character free, before you pay and before any story pages are made. One correction is included. If it still isn’t right, you pay nothing.

Who can be in the story?

You, a partner, a friend, a parent, a child, or a pet. Each book stars one person or animal.

How is the character drawn?

We use AI to draw the character from your photo in the story’s illustration style. The approved character is then used throughout the book.

What makes a good photograph?

One clearly visible face, roughly facing the camera, in good light. A normal phone photo is fine. Avoid group shots, distant faces and heavy sunglasses. You don’t need to crop it.

What do I receive?

A 12-page digital storybook, a private reading link, and a PDF to download and keep.

How long does it take?

A few minutes. We draw the character first, then make the pages after you approve it.

How do I get my book?

Your private reading link appears when the book is ready. Save the link and download your PDF.

What happens to my photo?

We use your photo to draw your character, and for nothing else. We do not use it to train models and we do not sell it.

Can I share it?

You can share the private reading link with anyone you want to read your book. Nothing is public unless you choose to post it.
